Broughton Crafts, owned by Dick & Gillian Pugh, began in 1982 in a barn outside Broughton. Their aim was to sell the best of British craftsmanship.

The present premises had been an antique shop. However the site, together with the adjacent Post Office, was threatened with development as a convenience store. This project was abandoned because of the requirement for deep pilings in new buildings and so, in 1983, Broughton Crafts were able to move in. The shop has been very successful, selling crafts from many parts of the UK and the rest of the world - weaving and wood, cards and candles, games and glasses, baskets and bangles.

Customers come from all parts of the south of England, especially before Christmas, and goods are sent throughout the world.
